Mostovdrev’s export up 2.5 times in January-February
In January-February 2010, Mostovdrev’s export was up almost 2.5 times over the same period 2009 to $1.7 million, BelTA learnt from the company.
Export to Russia was up almost 2.5 times to $602,400, to Azerbaijan – up approximately 10.5 times to $218,700, to Poland - 30% to $231,400, to Germany - almost 2.5 times to $185,700, to Lithuania - up 34.4% to $110,100, to the United States almost 11.5 times to $76,700. Mostovdrev exports products to more than 20 countries. The main sales markets are Russia, Poland, Azerbaijan and Germany.
In January-February veneer accounted for 96% of the total exports. This year the company plans to commission a new large-format veneer workshop. The project totals Ђ15 million. With the new shop in operation, the export will increase significantly.
In January-February 2010, Mostovdrev reported the output worth Br11 billion, up 8.5% over the same period last year. The profitability of sales came to 2.1% in January.
Mostovdrev was founded in 1927. Now the company makes part of the Bellesbumprom concern and is one of the biggest enterprises of Belarus’ woodworking industry. Mostovdrev produces veneer, saw timber, wood chips. The company employs more than 3,000 people.
